White paper: What are gas companies doing to scale up access to liquid medical oxygen?
This report is part of the Access to Medicine Foundation's Medical Oxygen Programme. The gas companies that dominate the global market for medical liquid oxygen have a key role to play in increasing and sustaining long-term access to this life-saving product. By assessing how these major global gas companies are responding to the chronic lack of access to this essential healthcare product in low and middle-income countries (LMICs), the Foundation aims to incentivise these companies to do more to expand access to medical liquid oxygen in these countries.
This first published research report follows six gas companies’ initiatives to ensure sustainable access to medical liquid oxygen and identifies six priority areas for action that these companies can focus on to expand access in LMICs over the long-term.
The Access to Medicine Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation that seeks to transform the healthcare ecosystem by motivating and mobilising companies to expand access to their essential healthcare products in LMICs.
